Mortgage Loan Originator

We are seeking a detail-oriented loan originator with strong marketing, excellent communication, and analysis skills to join our growing team. In this position, you will act as a liaison between applicants and our lenders, helping qualified applicants obtain loans. Your duties will include meeting/calling with applicants, preparing loan applications and loan estimates, and examining active loans.  Meeting and building Relationships with local qualified real estate agents. Skills & Experience

Skills

  •          At least a high school diploma or equivalent required

  •          Excellent written and verbal communication skills, superb interpersonal and customer service skills, and exceptional decision-making ability.

  •          Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment.

  •          Ability to handle confidential information. 

  •          Great mathematical and analytical skills.

  •          Attention to detail. 

  •          Must currently hold State of Colorado MLO License and be registered with an active NMLS number.

  •          Must hold Errors and omission insurance and must be bonded

  •          Pass Background Checks

  •          Reliability and honesty, and positive attitude.

Experience

Lending and Sales Experience preferred but not required. If you are a "go getter" type of person this could be a rewarding career field for you.

 

Responsibilities

Prospect, develop, and maintain relationships with potential new business referral partners such as realtors, builders, lenders, and the community at large.

Collect and analyze prospective buyer income, assets and liabilities, background check, and loan application documents to determine creditworthiness.

Counsel borrowers to understand the pros and cons of different loan products to determine which is best suited for them.

Interact with clients, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction and excellent client experience.

Review the loan process by monitoring loan status, term conformity, and regulatory guidelines.

Exceed our production standards by maintaining an active pipeline.

Ensure compliance with privacy laws and confidentiality policies throughout the process.

Renew MLO state and federal license every year and maintain continuing education requirements.
